Need small business relief money? Orange to begin updating site on grant program today

Starting today, small businesses owners in Orange County, anxious to learn how to claim a $10,000 share of coronavirus relief aid, can find out how to apply.

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced his staff would begin adding details to ocfl.net/orangecares, a web site created to keep small businesses informed about the first-come, first-served process for getting a one-time share of $72.9 million set aside to aid firms hurt by the economic lock-down imposed to stop the spread of the virus.

Demings said businesses can’t apply for a grant until June 1, the date the online portal opens, but the site will list documents a business will need to prove its eligibility.
